“Womanity" group exhibition

Aswar Art Centre proudly presents “Womanity,” a group exhibition in celebration of International Women’s Day. Opening on 14 March, the exhibition brings together distinguished artists: Dr. Najat Makki, Dina Mattar, Mona Alkhaja, Salma Al Marri, Dr. Karima Al Shomely, Majida Nasreddin, Dr. Dalel Smari, and Bana Safar.
Curated by Dr. Noha Farran, the exhibition explores diverse artistic expressions that celebrate the strength, vision, and creative spirit of women.

Aswar Art Center presents an artist talk with Palestinian artist Mohammed Al Hawajri titled:“Lived Reality and Art”. The session highlights key moments in Al Hawajri’s artistic journey, exploring the evolution of his visual and conceptual practice in relation to lived experience.
An open discussion will follow, inviting audience engagement on art and its social and cultural contexts.

The exhibition presents the artist’s latest work, produced in Sharjah, and marks a new stage in his artistic practice. Developed within an open cultural environment, the works explore and reframe the relationship between personal experience and collective memory.
